What You Will Do


  • Develops measurement tools to monitor departmental performance and compare it to customer expectations. Annual performance indicator for Pt Transport, and Equip Mgt.
  • Effectively develops departmental operations to ensure customer satisfaction, cost containment, and control for Pt Transportation, Equipment Mgt.
  • Collaborates, cooperates, participates and communicates in a multidisciplinary approach for the provision of services to all customers
  • Ensures staff members are providing care that meets Patient Centered Care Standards and embraces and models Lean principles for the department
  • Develops and manages departmental operating and staff budgets that meet the needs of customers, staff, and the organization for Pt Transportation, Equipment Mgt.
  • Establishes themselves as a change agent throughout the organization by continually looking to develop, enhance, and sustain process changes that improve upon the quality and efficiency of all services provided.
  • Directly oversees 8 or more staff members and is responsible for ensuring their work output is satisfactory and their concerns are resolved.
  • Collaborates with Manager for all hiring and related personnel decisions, completing routine performance review evaluations, training, scheduling, team development and the like.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
