Overview Supporting Community Healthcare is a rewarding role. LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a Medical Assistant/Front Office Coordinator to work at our Howard Daniel Clinic in Oakland. The Medical Assistant/Front Office Coordinator is part of a patient-centered care team composed of a clinical provider, medical assistant, and auxiliary staff providing urgent and primary care health services in a community health center setting. The Medical Assistant/Front Office Coordinator is responsible for assisting medical providers by completing basic clerical and clinical tasks utilizing Electronic Health Record systems. Responsible for the coordination of operations in the areas of medical reception, scheduling, front desk and general clinic services. The Medical Assistant will collaborate with the Center Supervisor and Director in the implementation of protocols for the front office and patient scheduling. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills working with diverse populations and previous medical office work experience. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current CPR are required. This is a full time, 40 hours/week, benefit eligible position. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of SEIU-UHW, as defined in the CBA.
