We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist - Oncology to join the team at MaineHealth. The successful candidate will bring expertise in clinical nursing, patient care, and education to support the clinical staff, patients, and families at MaineHealth. The ideal applicant should have an advanced nursing degree (MSN or Doctorate), a current RN license with a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience, and experience in a leadership role. Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices for clinical staff is essential. This position also requires excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be a key member of the nursing team and Oncology team, delivering quality patient care and education to the clinical staff. The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and independently to create an innovative and effective work environment. CNS Certification Required Summary: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Maine Medical Center (MMC) is an advanced practice nurse as defined by the Maine Nurse Practice Act and/or the ANA Advanced Practice Standards (1996). The mission of the CNS is to assure the provision of expert, quality, evidence-based care for patients and families in a variety of practice settings. The CNS also provides leadership in the development of staff, resources, and programs that support the MMC mission. The CNS partners with health care providers and management teams to develop and deliver quality health care to specific patient populations within and beyond MMC.
