Summary:
Applies and monitors a capacity and long range sales planning and scheduling system in accordance with customer or Program Management requests, contractual terms, and approved Inventory Management techniques. Develops manufacturing plans and schedules, for products, to be produced by Operations Manufacturing. Reflects progress against schedules, and makes recommendations for resource allocation through written and graphic reports. In large sites, supervises Scheduler activities to ensure achievement of customer and business commitments.

Responsibilities:
* Develops plans and schedules of manufacturing activities on site wide major programs or product lines from engineering release through to product delivery of completed prime equipment and spares.
* Monitors customer focus team adherence to the corporate demand management policy.
Approves or rejects schedule change requests submitted by CFT, and develop schedules in accordance with machine and manpower capabilities and physical/capital resources of Manufacturing Engineering, Production Test and Support, Assembly, Test Engineering and Material Services.
* Responsible for the preparation and presentation of charts, graphs and written reports outlining current status against schedules; Analyzes deviations from schedules as to their nature, the reasons for schedule variance, their cost implications, the impact on the immediate tasks, the impact on the total program and the corrective action to be taken. Coordinates and analyzes various support documents (computer printouts, prints, published material lead times, bills of material, etc.) to establish end item schedules and release, build and test schedules for all levels of product Prepare and present production plans to manufacturing and program management.
* In large sites, manages CFT Schedulers.
* Attends production meetings as needed.
* Assists in decision making process affecting manufacturing plans and schedules
* Analyzes, develops and recommends capacity plans to meet demand requirements
* Provides weekly capacity analysis by work center and head count analysis
* Identifies, develops and recommends capacity constraint solution or plans to meet customer requirements
* Works with site teams to maintain data in system to generate accurate and timely capacity plans
* Works with site management on 6-12 month SIOP assuring providing longer-term analysis for capital and resource planning.

* 4 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
* 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling in more complex accounts
* APICS CPIM certification preferred
* Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to others in the planning activity
* Proficient in associated Microsoft Word Office products, Infor ERP, Kinaxis Rapid Response as they apply to the position
* Demonstrate understanding of the extended process of order receipt and entry, material procurement, order release, assembly, shipment, and invoice payment
* Understanding of the extended process of return debits and credits, return receipt and routing generation, Process Feedback System (PFS) entry and order release, return/project cost analysis, and return/project invoicing and shipment
* Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Baan or equivalent) as they apply to the position
* Effective decision making skills as it relates to providing direction to the manufacturing floor and assigning priorities to meet customer goals and objectives
* Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when representing the company in supply chain related decisions
* Effective leadership skills with coworkers and customers
* Ability to effectively mentor co-workers
* Ability to independently drive solutions to complex supply chain issues with limited supervision
* Demonstrate teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction
* Demonstrate confidentiality and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity
* Ability to understand and apply continuous improvement (CI) tools and participate in Lean and CI activities
* Comprehends contractual /MSA language as it pertains to the position
