We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient intrapreneur to lead a high-growth product category expansion within a large, established organization. In this role, you will lead and inspire a business expansion initiative fostering innovation, agility, and profitability. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who are eager to make a substantial impact within an established company. In this management role you will be responsible for leading a business group with diverse skill sets and expertise, acting as both a strategic leader and an operational director. The ideal candidate will exhibit a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and corporate acumen, leading high-impact projects that enhance operational efficiency, and deliver customer value. As an intrapreneur, this role requires the ability to think like a startup founder, while also leveraging company resources, infrastructure, and cross-functional collaboration to scale and execute ideas successfully.
In this role you will work closely with senior leadership and various internal teams, including product development, sourcing, quality, operations, marketing, and sales to launch, grow, and optimize new business initiatives. Success in this role is defined by the ability to create new revenue channels, deliver operational excellence, and contribute to the overall strategic growth of the company.

What You'll Be Doing as a Red Dot Business Manager:
Strategic Leadership and Innovation
- Lead the business planning and execution of a high growth product category within the company, from ideation through scaling and optimization.
- Establish clear business goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics for success across multiple projects and initiatives.
- Develop and communicate a compelling vision for key projects, ensuring alignment with the company's overall mission and objectives.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships, both internal and external, to drive the growth and scalability of the business.
- Leverage existing company assets and networks to gain a competitive edge in launching new products or services.
Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and lead a cross-functional team to support product category launches, leveraging the expertise of Engineering, Product Line Management, Operations, Quality, and other departments.
- Partner with Human Resources to recruit top talent, provide mentorship, and develop future leaders within the organization.
- Foster a collaborative innovation-driven culture that encourages a growth mindset, problem solving agility, accountability, and resilience.
- Work closely with senior management to align the product category business plan with the company's broader strategic goals and growth priorities.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, forecast revenues, and ensure the profitability of the product category.
Operational Execution and Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution and the removal of roadblocks that hinder progress.
- Develop business plans, financial models, and resource allocation strategies to ensure successful execution of the business.
- Act as a primary point of contact for all project-related matters, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and timely delivery of milestones.
- Track performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement process improvements to optimize operations and ensure the success of each initiative.
- Ensure effective resource management, including staffing, technology, and budget, to support growth and performance.
Financial Stewardship
- This position is accountable to delivering the expected return on investment (ROI) and growth targets for P&L in this business segment.
- Oversee the financial performance of projects and programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis rolling up into the segment through the proper allocation of resources.
- Monitor financial health and implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure profitability and sustainability.
Skills and Experiences You'll Need as a Red Dot Business Manager:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in business management, product development, manufacturing, or innovation with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or general management role.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling high growth business units.
- Strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and financial management within a technical product context.
- Experience in shooting sports required. Knowledge in optical products for consumer and military markets desired.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals.

Work Environment for a Red Dot Business Manager:
Normal office environment with occasional travel and exposure to manufacturing operations.
