Remote Learning Support Specialist

Position Summary:



Reporting to the LMS Manager, the Specialist provides support in Canvas, Zoom, and other academic technologies at Yeshiva University. The position is remote and works on Eastern Standard Time [New York]. The preferred schedule is Sunday - Thursday.



Position Responsibilities:




  • Serve as primary resolution resource for Canvas LMS system
  • Provide excellent customer service through the resolution of help desk tickets
  • Administer technical support for Zoom, Canvas, and other technology projects as assigned
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges
  • Work with faculty at all levels of technical competence
  • Develop and deliver training materials such as best practices for Canvas to faculty
  • Continuous learning Canvas-related education technologies



Experience & Educational Background:




  • High School Degree or GED
  • Experience supporting Canvas at the university level
  • Demonstrated knowledge of online learning and related applications
  • Understanding of FERPA and other regulations applicable to higher education



Skills & Competencies:




  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously
  • Excellent customer support and time management skills
  • Interest in academic technology
  • Professionalism and high attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite



Salary Range:


$27.50 - $33.00 per hour
