Under limited supervision, responsible for servicing assigned Trust Department related accounts including, but not limited to, investment agency, various types of trusts, IRA's and custodial accounts. Responsible for the retention, development and expansion of multi-level relationships for existing high net worth clients leading to the growth of assets and revenues. Responsible for providing sophisticated wealth planning concepts and solutions, acting as a subject matter expert and consultant for internal partners and profiling for cross-selling opportunities. In addition to these duties, a significant emphasis to independently develop and close on new business with existing clients, external prospects and referrals from centers of influence.

Job Accountabilities

  • Independently or in collaboration with other partners, create and/or coordinate specific sales proposals to generate new business. In addition, can build and expand referral source opportunities both internally and externally. Maintain active pipeline using Salesforce application.
  • Strong listening and questioning skills in order to provide advice and consult with clients concerning a broad range of financial planning areas including advanced estate and generation planning, retirement planning, investment management, risk management, and charitable planning.
  • Profile existing customer base, and that of Service Administrators, for additional financial service needs in order to identify cross-selling opportunities through referrals to internal partners within and/or outside of Wealth Management.
  • Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank within the region's marketplace. Establish referral contacts within the community.
  • Perform administrative duties of assigned accounts including completion of annual account reviews, reviewing client correspondence and processing requests for information, scheduling appointments, preparing and saving documents in Nautilus, approving bills and other account distributions, processing discretionary payment requests, reviewing and coordinating cash flow needs with the investment officer. and managing client fees.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to all aspects of the position and keep informed of new legal, regulatory, and tax developments.
  • Review and analyze estate planning documents including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, real estate, agency agreements, and custody agreements to determine effective administration and compliance with documented provisions.
  • Potentially supervise the activities and development of assigned Support Staff or Officers to ensure sales goals and customer service standards are met.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business, Finance and Accounting Required

Experience:
10-12 years High level client management within the financial services/investment management industry. Sales and client management success. Developing a strong network of internal and external referral sources. Required
10-12 years Demonstrated success in planning, organizing and executing on investment agency, institutional and personal trust sales within a dynamic financial services organization.
Understanding of estate planning concepts, fiduciary administration, taxes, financial planning and discretionary asset management. Required
10-12 years Understanding of internal banking partners, their functions and business line products. Within a team environment, utilizing partners to develop and deliver financial solutions. Required
12-15 years High level of industry education and confidence in their ability to successfully develop new business to meet an assigned annual sales goal commensurate with their work experience.Required
