Job Summary
The Honors College at Auburn University seeks an energetic, creative, and organized student worker to assist with programming and event coordination. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in event planning, program development, budgeting, and administrative support. The role focuses on key Honors College events and programs, such as Cup at Cater, Cater Talks, Fall Frenzy, Break for Breakfast, Medal Ceremonies, and more.
Additionally, the student worker will play an integral role in the development of the Week of Service Program and may assist with the associated class. Students with an interest in or studying Hospitality Management are strongly encouraged to apply, though all Honors students are welcome.


Time Commitment & Compensation

  • Part-time position with flexible hours.
  • Pay rate: $8/hour.


Essential Functions
Primary Responsibilities


  • Event Support & Logistics: Assist with setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination for Honors College events.

  • Program Development: Contribute to the conceptualization, design, and implementation of innovative ideas for programming and events.

  • Administrative Duties:

    • Utilize tools like Excel to organize schedules, track budgets, and manage participant data.
    • Maintain and prepare event materials and supplies.




  • Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with Honors College staff, students, and external partners to ensure the seamless execution of programs and events.

  • Week of Service Planning: Support brainstorming sessions, organize materials, and assist with logistics for the Week of Service program and related events.

  • Positive, energetic, and motivated to contribute to the Honors College community.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate events and unique programming needs, including some evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Field of Study: Hospitality Management or a related field (though all Honors students are encouraged to apply).
