Duties/Responsibilities


Duties/Responsibilities
This position will do the work of an emergency doctor in the Small Animal Emergency Critical Care service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Primarily responsible for assessing injury or disease in small animal cases brought to the Small animal emergency room.

  • Communicate with owners, treat sick or injured small animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, running life saving protocols( CPR, Oxygen, emergency medications).
  • collect tissue, blood, feces, urine or other bodily fluids for examination and analysis.
  • euthanize animals
