Clinical Technician 2 - Women's Medicine Unit with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

Part-time | Rotations | Shift: Days Vary, 6AM - 6:30PM & 6PM - 6:30AM

Two (2) shifts per week | Rotating Weekends & Holidays.

The Women's Medicine Unit with renowned Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a dedicated and loyal Clinical Technician to join the team in a part time capacity!

Your shifts will be from 6AM - 6:30PM & 6PM - 6:30AM shift with rotating weekends & holidays.

Clinical Technician Job Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)



  • Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.

    • ADLs
    • Blood Draws
    • IV Insertion
    • Catheter / Foley insertion

  • Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.


Requirements:



  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical technician or successful completion of one acute care clinical rotation in an Accredited RN Program and/or two years of nursing school completed
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of,

    • Virtual modules
    • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM
    • On-unit training with department hired into (times TBD)

  • Experience: Prior experience in healthcare, preferred
