Clariant is currently looking for a General Shipper to support the Adsorbents and Additives business unit in Quincy, FL. This is an entry level position that requires little to no prior experience although some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. The General Shipper is responsible for learning and operating various shipping and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner to support the production and shipping of materials. This role requires the ability to adapt quickly to different tasks, including packaging, loading, and managing bulk shipments across various shipping assignments for Clariant's Granular line. The General Shipper plays a critical role in ensuring that material meets established quality and tonnage specifications. This is a full time, onsite opportunity that involves rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet production goals. Responsibilities

* Learn to operate various types of packing machinery, bulk baggers, shrink wrappers, and reclaim systems to process and package granular materials

* Package and ship materials according to specifications to ensure accurate packaging and handling

* Operate rail loadout systems for various granular products

* Safely load bulk trucks from designated loading points and bins

* Use a railcar mover to switch railcars between tracks 1, 2, and 3, ensuring efficient bulk material loading

* Load packaged materials onto trucks at various loading docks

* Unload delivery trucks and manage pallets and roll-back storage racks for granular products

* Accurately complete shipping paperwork and conduct routine workplace exams to ensure compliance with safety standards

* Perform housekeeping tasks, such as operating the Hi-Vac and maintaining cleanliness across all shipping areas

* Load dump trucks and waste dumpsters with waste material as needed to support facility operations

Requirements

* Highschool Diploma or equivalent, will consider relevant prior work experience in lieu of education

* No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided, although some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

* Experience with motorized industrial equipment is not required, but preferred

* Willingness to learn to operate a variety of shipping and material-handling equipment

* Ability to lift and move materials as needed

* Comfortable working in a production environment that may involve noise, dust, and operating heavy machinery

* Ability to work rotating shifts and work areas based production needs throughout the year
