Job Description

As a Lead Development Manager, you will lead and optimize the entire process for assigning and distributing sales leads to our partner network. This role is critical to the success of our sales channels, and you will be responsible for ensuring that leads are assigned effectively based on a variety of factors, including sales targets, performance analytics, territory considerations, and team workloads. With your strategic mindset, you'll guide the company in maximizing sales opportunities, improving conversion rates, and optimizing resource allocation. This is a high-impact role where you'll drive performance and lead continuous improvement through data-driven insights and thoughtful decision-making.

As a Lead Development Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing Lead Distribution:
    • Ensuring the right leads are assigned to the right teams or partners at the right time, based on a combination of performance data, territory considerations, and workload distribution
    • Maximizing conversion rates and sales opportunities by applying data-driven decision-making to lead management
  • Driving Sales Performance:
    • Analyzing lead performance and identifying key trends to enhance the quality and conversion of leads
    • Proactively redistributing leads that are underperforming, ensuring consistent sales growth and partner success
  • Building Predictive Models:
    • Developing and refining predictive models that forecast lead trends, optimize sales coverage, and balance territories effectively
    • Leveraging analytics to create long-term, scalable lead distribution strategies that align with sales goals and business objectives
  • Enhancing Territory Management:
    • Collaborating with sales managers and partners to design and implement territory models that balance blitz areas and permanent teams, ensuring maximum coverage and sales efficiency
    • Utilizing mapping and data density tools to optimize territories and improve partner productivity
  • Improving Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partnering with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure lead management strategies are aligned with company-wide goals and growth initiatives
    • Working closely with Martech to enhance lead quality and collaborate on the continuous improvement of sales tools and platforms (e.g., Spotio)
  • Enabling Data-Driven Decision-Making:
    • Providing actionable insights and performance reports to senior leadership, enabling them to make informed strategic decisions
    • Developing dashboards and advanced reporting tools (such as Looker Studio) that deliver real-time sales intelligence to both sales and marketing teams
  • Driving Continuous Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluating and optimizing lead management processes to drive operational efficiency and sales effectiveness
    • Identifying opportunities for automation and improvements that will scale lead distribution efforts as the company grows
  • Shaping Strategic Sales Initiatives:
    • Influencing key sales initiatives and go-to-market strategies by providing data-driven insights on lead performance and channel effectiveness
    • Offering recommendations based on performance analytics to ensure alignment with overarching sales targets and business outcomes
Qualifications

  • Can make data-driven decisions that align with business strategy and sales goals.
  • Have a collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams (sales, partners, marketing) to implement lead distribution strategies.
  • Are comfortable managing complex systems like Spotio and mapping software to optimize territories and partner performance.
  • Can synthesize complex data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Are proactive, able to identify performance gaps, and take steps to address them in real-time.

BONUS PONTS FOR:

  • Experience with sales lead reporting and distribution processes
  • Advanced experience with Looker Studio or other BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Yellowfin)
  • Familiarity with Spotio or similar sales management platforms
  • Experience in VBA and advanced Excel functions for reporting and data analysis
  • Knowledge of Google Big Query or other comparable database management systems (DBMS)
  • Expertise in building predictive models and territory models based on sales and performance analytics
