Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related Engineering field required.
  • At least two (2) years in a managerial or team supervisory technical lead role.
  • At least seven (7) years solid technical expertise supporting infrastructure for large-scale enterprise applications.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Ability to receive client's approval to work on contract required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
  • Strong Windows and Linux background.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to provide direct supervision of the infrastructure team.
  • High energy level with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of generally established IT-security professional guidelines specific to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or FedRAMP.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills with both internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to describe technical problems and solutions to engineers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information stored in operational databases.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Working Conditions: Encountered on a regular basis as part of the work this job performs.

  • Typical office environment
  • Some work after normal business hours and on the weekends may be required during major implementations. Close vision at 20 inches or less, ability to identify and distinguish colors to build and maintain computer equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to build and move computer hardware.

Responsibilities

Summary

Manages all activities associated with people, process and product for the successful delivery of customer facing production applications and back-office administration applications. Additional responsibility includes the oversite and optimization of the infrastructure.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ongoing management, administration and maintenance of customer facing production applications supporting a 99.9% uptime.
  • Responsible for management and administration of core business infrastructure.
  • Responsible for network and systems performance and optimization.
  • Manages and directs team stressing Efficient Process thru use of iterative Agile methodology:
  • Follows established policy and process procedures that includes Security, SOX and FedRAMP compliance.
  • Assists with the software development lifecycle activities with primary responsibility for the continuous delivery of customer facing applications.
  • Supports the overall business strategy and aligns team process and priorities to achieve budget and service level agreements.
  • Provides Subject Matter Expertise on all technical issues related to company infrastructure.
  • Leads team in producing their best work, including task delegation, mentoring, resolving disputes, performance management, recruiting, and optimizing operations for high employee satisfaction and productivity.
  • Identifies and communicates issues related to delivery of production applications as related to the supporting infrastructure and project implementation to stakeholders in a timely manner. Provides regular project status reports including measurement of project completion and key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Evaluates and drives the implementation of new technologies and applications that supports the overall business strategy.
  • Recommends and develops business plans for process improvements.
  • Provides back-up for technical disciplines within the scope of essential duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
