The Highlights:
The DePaul Cinespace Studios Camera Vault Coordinator is responsible for supervising the School of Cinematic Arts' Advanced Camera Checkout Center and assisting the Associate Director with relevant operational duties.

What You'll Do:


  • Student Worker Supervision -The Camera Vault Coordinator supervises approximately 10 - 20 student workers, assisting the Associate Director with onboarding, scheduling, training, evaluations, and disciplinary action.
  • Equipment Facilitation -The Camera Vault Coordinator oversees student workers in the fulfillment of equipment reservations, pick ups, and returns for faculty and students and advises students on reservations and equipment use best practices. Performs site visits with faculty to determine their individual standards for on site productions as it relates to Advanced Camera equipment.
  • Facility Support -The Camera Vault Coordinator will assist the Associate Director with maintaining safety practices, policies, and procedures; inspections, support classroom maintenance, ensure compliance of OSHA requirements and regulations regarding equipment safety, and report inventory issues to the Manager of Equipment Operations.
  • Special Events - Oversee student workers in preparation and setting up/taking down equipment for special events, classes, workshops, and large-scale productions.
  • The Camera Vault Coordinator will assist the Associate Director with onboarding, scheduling, training, evaluating, and disciplining approximately 10-15 student workers.


What You'll Need:


  • B.A. in Film/Video required and/or equivalent work experience in the field.
  • 2-4 years previous industry-related experience required
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of camera and support equipment
  • Experience in managing personnel and scheduling required
  • Experience and knowledge of Crestron audio-visual presentation systems preferred
  • Technical knowledge and significant experience in utilization of professional grip equipment including cranes, Fisher dollies, steadicams and other high-end professional related grip equipment desirable.
  • Red Digital Cinema Reducation
  • Zeiss Cinema Service Lens Training Level 1 & 2
  • Canon Service Training
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced understanding and technical knowledge of current and future film/video production equipment required.
  • Work closely and communicate well in a collaborative, group atmosphere.
  • Provide efficient and professional technical support, often in a public environment.
  • Perform well under time constraints in a dynamic, large group environment of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Work independently without constant supervision.
  • Consistent attention to details.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work closely with others.
  • Strong work-ethic and good critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Ability to prioritize emergency equipment situations and manage resources effectively.
  • Ability to efficiently handle dissatisfied faculty and students and provide strong customer service.
  • Routinely lift more than 25 pounds
  • Lifting cases up to 50 pounds
  • Sitting and standing for long periods of time
  • Be able to walk considerable distances.
  • Be able to walk up and down stairs repeatedly.
  • Be able to endure a warehouse climate.
  • Position requires flexible schedule capabilities (outside of M-F 9-5), including but not limited to weeknights, weekends and holidays.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $50,174.00 to $61,800.00.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
