Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Quality Control Associate Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (Onsite) Department: Quality Control Hours: M- F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Classified: Full-time, Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Quality Control Staff is responsible for ensuring product quality and safety through various inspection and testing procedures. This role requires a combination of practical skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and quality control principles, as well as experience with laboratory equipment and data analysis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not Limited to: * Conduct thorough inspections of products to verify compliance with quality standards, and accurately record inspection data. * Create and verify labels for products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. * Perform routine tests such as pH, Brix, water activity, salinity, and colorimetric analysis, and calibrate testing equipment. * Conduct daily SSOP and GMP inspections, and participate in preparatory work and in-service checks. * Monitor and verify Critical Control Point (CCP) and Preventive Control (PC) to ensure food safety. * Implement and monitor quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process. * Accurately record and update data related to raw materials, formulations, and quality control results. * Support the team in responding to quality checks and audits conducted by government agencies. * Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: * Proficiency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken * At least 3 years of relevant work experience in food manufacturing or a related field preferred; or obtained or pursuing a degree in Food Science. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong organizational and time management skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds * Strong desire to learn and grow into a quality control professional.
