Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Quality Control Associate
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (Onsite)
Department: Quality Control
Hours: M- F 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Classified: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Staff is responsible for ensuring product quality and safety through various inspection and testing procedures. This role requires a combination of practical skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and quality control principles, as well as experience with laboratory equipment and data analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not Limited to:
* Conduct thorough inspections of products to verify compliance with quality standards, and accurately record inspection data.
* Create and verify labels for products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Perform routine tests such as pH, Brix, water activity, salinity, and colorimetric analysis, and calibrate testing equipment.
* Conduct daily SSOP and GMP inspections, and participate in preparatory work and in-service checks.
* Monitor and verify Critical Control Point (CCP) and Preventive Control (PC) to ensure food safety.
* Implement and monitor quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process.
* Accurately record and update data related to raw materials, formulations, and quality control results.
* Support the team in responding to quality checks and audits conducted by government agencies.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken
* At least 3 years of relevant work experience in food manufacturing or a related field preferred; or obtained or pursuing a degree in Food Science.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
* Strong desire to learn and grow into a quality control professional.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of food safety and quality control principles
* Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and recording accurate measurements

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
