Terms and Conditions apply** The Sonographer job performs the practice of ultrasonography and is responsible for the administration of high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for medical purposes. A Sonographer/Technologist performs ultrasonography procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Job Description Summary The Sonographer job performs the practice of ultrasonography and is responsible for the administration of high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for medical purposes. A Sonographer/Technologist performs ultrasonography procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. **Primary site is Sheltering Arms Institute but expected to rotate to other ambulatory sites to cover open shifts** Core Competencies 
 Advanced Competencies Expected to perform all ultrasound-guided procedures, including but not limited to drainages, aspirations, and biopsies. Knowledge and Competency Experienced and competent in routine and complex studies. Education, Certification & Experience The position requires certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) as a sonographer ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI certification in medical sonography or RDCS certification in cardiac sonography or RVT certification as a Vascular Technologist.
