THE JOB:
The Technical Support Engineer I at MGM Northfield Park monitors Help Desk queues, collaborates with IT teams and vendors to resolve technical issues, and ensures timely ticket updates. Responsibilities include performing hardware maintenance, installing software updates, answering inquiries, and ensuring virus protection on all systems. The technician also maintains application licensing, updates shift reports and promotes excellent guest service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. In case of incidents, the technician notifies supervisors or Security as needed.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Proficient in troubleshooting POS systems, printers, kiosks, time clocks, and thin clients

  • Skilled in installing and upgrading PC hardware, software, and operating systems

  • Knowledgeable in LAN/WAN networking and protocols

  • Strong analytical, listening, and problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple duties simultaneously

  • Independent worker with strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Flexible schedule availability (extended hours, weekends, holidays)

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Relevant experience installing and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems, Desktop Hardware, and Microsoft Products

  • Certified in Microsoft, Cisco, A+, Network+
