As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Job Skills / Requirements As an Accountant at FCS, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various financial activities within the organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, invoicing, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and consistency in recording financial transactions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
Month-End Close Process: Complete steps required for closing monthly financial reporting including adjustments for accruals and prepaids, revenue recognition, allocation calculations, etc.
Invoicing: assist with the timely and accurate invoicing of customers on a monthly basis. Verify the accuracy of billing information, including pricing, discounts, and additional charges. Address customer inquiries and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Reconciliations: responsible for performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions between the company's records and bank statements.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.
Auditing: Facilitate internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries. Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas of cost optimization and efficiency improvement. Collaborate with relevant team members to implement cost-saving measures.
Financial Systems and Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and procedures to streamline operations, increase accuracy, and reduce turnaround time for financial reporting.
Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and compliance with all relevant accounting principles.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial leadership role of at least 2 years.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with various teams and present financial information to stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
