CompTIA Security+ Certified required

Microsoft SQL Server Certified required

12+ years of related experience and a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition and comprehensive database administration.

Required Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server High Availability features, including Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

Required and Proven experience with Windows Server 2016 and higher and Microsoft Failover Clusters.

Required Installation and configuration expertise with SQL Server 2019 and higher, including SQL Server Cumulative Updates (CUs).

Required Strong database performance tuning and optimization skills, including experience with indexing strategies and query optimization.

Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of related work experience or Master's Degree with 10+ years of related work experience.

DUTIES:

The SR. SQL DBA will be maintaining and optimizing SQL Server databases across an enterprise environment of approximately 2000 Windows servers.

Leverage your expertise to design, implement, and sustain SQL Server 2019 Microsoft Failover Clusters while standardizing, consolidating, and enhancing existing database infrastructures.

Ideal for a seasoned professional with a passion for database performance tuning and enterprise-scale database management.

Design, install, configure, audit, and maintain highly available enterprise database systems to meet organizational needs and security requirements.

Monitor database backups and conduct routine disaster recovery testing scenarios to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.

Proactively monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.

Develop and implement both short-term fixes and long-term optimization strategies, including regular index maintenance and database integrity checks.

Establish and enforce database policies and standards.

Create and manage database schema definitions and modifications as needed to support application requirements.

Refresh and synchronize data across processing environments as required to ensure data consistency and availability for ongoing operations.

Develop and maintain detailed team documentation for repeatable processes, such as database feature installation, disaster recovery procedures, and problem resolution.

Adhere to ITIL-aligned practices for change management, ticket resolution, and security audit compliance to ensure seamless operations and audit readiness.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for specialized processing. Provide expert technical support and resolution through an in-house ticketing system.

Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation to ensure uninterrupted operations and rapid issue resolution in mission-critical environments.
