Davidson College, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference and a Football Championship Subdivision NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the position of Assistant AD for Operations. This is a 12-month, full-time position. This position will report directly to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Athletics. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Davidson College, The Atlantic 10 Conference and the NCAA. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. Athletic Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Under the supervision of the Sr. Associate AD, Oversee the operation and coordination of athletic facilities (including, but not limited to, Game Changers Fieldhouse, Davidson College Stadium, Wilson Field).
- Work closely with the Physical Plant in maintaining the functionality of athletic facilities.
- Work closely with the Physical Plant when planning renovations or new construction of athletic facilities.
- In coordination with the Sr. Associate AD, supervise the athletic maintenance staff and all activity including building maintenance, custodial services, and related staff services for athletic facilities.
- Coordinate the use of athletic facilities with other campus departments and outside groups including the negotiation of fees where applicable.
- Coordinate the scheduling of athletic summer camps with coaches.
- Work closely with the Sr. Associate AD to oversee all duties related to the sale of alcohol at athletic events.
Sport Oversight
- Oversee multiple sports and serve as the primary and/or secondary administrator for those teams and coaches.
- Perform and/or contribute to performance management and development plans.
- Administer game day duties and provide competition oversight.
Scheduling Coordination
- Oversee scheduling coordination for all practices and competitions.
- Liaison with the Training Room, Equipment Room, Maintenance and Teams to effectively manage a master calendar.
- Work directly with the Faculty Advisory Committee to secure approval for competition schedules within academic regulations.
Special Projects and Assignments
- Special projects as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director or other senior level administrators.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning (a master's degree is preferred).
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather; ability to lift or move objects of 50+ pounds.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in athletic operations.
