Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is one of the world's largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGO), at work in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. A force for humanity, IRC employees deliver lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions. If you're a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future. The Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and relevance of the R&P (Reception and Placement) cost allocation policy, ensuring it adapts to evolving business needs. This position is responsible for guaranteeing that IRC and partner cost centers adhere to this policy when charging expenses as well as to other applicable financial rules and regulations of the IRC and the donor. The Finance Analyst ensures funding is appropriately distributed on a continuous basis across relevant cost centers, closely monitors expenditures, identifies variances, and initiates corrective actions as needed. Additionally, the role oversees timely grant closures to maintain financial accuracy. Central to this position is the development and refinement of expenditure tracking tools, primarily in Excel, to enhance financial monitoring.
