The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Clinical Coordinator III NP will work in the Pediatric Center for Liver Disease & Transplantation and Intestine Transplant Programs within the Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation in the Department of Surgery. The position will function in the outpatient setting to care for and manage patients with complex liver and intestinal diseases.

Responsibilities



  • Coordinate overall medical and surgical management of patients being evaluated and treated by the liver and intestinal program.
  • Conduct new evaluations and consultations.
  • Provide education about liver disease and transplantation for patients and medical center staff.
  • Management of immunosuppressant and regulation of medications in response to laboratory results.
  • Telephone medical advice, interaction with both patients and primary physicians.
  • Participate in outpatient on-call responsibilities in rotation with other NPs, PA and physicians within the program.
  • Participation in patient care and education meetings and inpatient rounds.
  • Assist in prior authorizations for medications and radiology testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Master of Science in Nursing and 3 years nursing or related experience.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Intermediate to advanced level MS Office skills, experience with EMR.



  • Proficiency with technology and social media platforms.




Other Requirements


  • Current NYS RN and NP Licenses and ANCC Board Certification.
  • BLS Certification
  • DEA Certification
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills required.
