The Regional Sales Manager position will also oversee the daily, weekly monthly Sales performance of the SMB, GEM and BULK MDU Account Executives assigned, keep the Sales and Sales Support Team at the budgeted headcount, provide accurate sales forecasts, help to develop and execute the company's sales strategies & tactics in order to maximize the market in order to achieve company growth targets and to retain existing base of customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Establish short and long-term sales goals for the sales market/region with the VP of Business Sales and or President of Commercial Business
  • Drive and monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales activity, through contact with the sales team and the use of weekly team meetings and existing Salesforce tools
  • Recruit qualified Selling Sales Managers and Account Executives
  • Coach and train of the Selling Sales Managers and Sales and Sales Support Team
  • Manage the markets penetration percentage
  • Ensure the Sales Team is using all Salesforce functions required
  • Monitor all AR related areas to ensure complete compliance with Associate Resources policies and procedures
  • Submit timely and accurate standard and/or requested reports
  • Make recommendations to your leadership team on pricing adjustments based on competition in your market area
  • Understand and execute all Metronet company SOP's
  • Hold Selling Sales Managers and Account Executives accountable for required sales goals and to the AE Minimum Expectations Document
  • Provide direction, motivation and leadership to Selling Sales Managers and Account Executives within the region
  • Assist Account Executives with contract negotiations, difficult sales issues and customers
  • Ensure ongoing sales training for all Selling Sales Managers and Account Executives to increase sales, successfully sell our strategic products to increase average contract values and increase close rates
  • Keep updated on competition in assigned region



JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  • College degree desired but not required in lieu of applicable experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience is required in the telecommunications industry.
  • Must have a proven sales experience/accomplishments and a demonstrated track record of supervising people and large/complex projects.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
