Job Summary

Coordinates, develops, and facilitates the Student Centers and Wellness and Recreation Centers (WRC) senior level Human Resources (HR) and administrative functions at the Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) and the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC).

  • Serves as the primary department HR Liaison for all four departments while working closely with the Division's HR Liaisons. Responsible for submitting change requests for students, non-student temporary, and FWS for various actions including but not limited to, change in allocations, reactivations, pay actions, job end date extensions, changes in supervisor, and terminations.
  • Oversees and facilitates on-boarding for 400+ student staff for Student Centers and Wellness and Recreation Centers (WRC) at both MMC and BBC, which includes managing the student employee lifecycle, such as hiring and offboarding.
  • Collaborates with the Sr. Directors on HR transactions throughout MMC and BBC Student Centers and WRC.
  • Interprets, communicates, and provides job responsibilities, expectations, ongoing training, mentoring, and leadership development to student employees.
  • Resolves problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department.
  • Develops and facilitates professional and personal development opportunities.
  • Leads the development and editing of staff training manuals and materials.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding policies and procedures. Communicates administrative and fiscal rules and policies and procedures.
  • Oversees large scale projects, information retrieval, and complex administrative matters. Collaborates across the departments, its offices, and programs to analyze, plan, communicate, and execute operational and tactical improvements to drive transformational change.
  • Develops a collaborative working relationship with professional staff, student employees and university leaders.
  • Assists with financial transactions, month-end and quarter-end close process while working closely with the areas budget team and the Division's Finance team. Compiles, monitors, analyzes, and reports on budgetary performance, including budget variances.
  • Serves as an active member on committees, and work groups.
  • Supports Student Center and WRC leadership with assigned administrative tasks, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft preferred.
  • Experience in student training, leadership, and development.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practices.
  • Experience with advanced features in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
