Position Title: Outreach Program Manager (Adult Recruitment & Enrollment Manager)

Reports To: Assistant Vice Chancellor Enrollment Services/Director of Admissions

Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00

The Adult Recruitment & Enrollment Manager at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside manages the recruitment, admissions and onboarding process specifically for our adult learner (aged 25+) student population. This position involves developing strategic outreach efforts to promote the university's undergraduate and graduate programs, foster meaningful partnerships, and advance institutional goals. The Adult Recruitment & Enrollment Manager will work closely with prospective students regarding their educational interests and how UW-Parkside can support their pursuits. This position will serve as a single point of contact for incoming adult students helping them to explore their educational opportunities, choose a desired program of study, and complete the enrollment process while providing guidance related to transfer credit evaluation, financial aid, academic advising, and student supports.

The manager will oversee programs that support adult student recruitment and onboarding of students while ensuring alignment with the university's mission and values. Key responsibilities include managing communications, coordinating events, cultivating relationships with community organizations and schools, and assessing program effectiveness through data-driven analysis.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building bridges between the university and its broader community. They should possess a deep understanding of outreach strategies, program development, and higher education practices, along with a passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all stakeholders.

  • Plan, organize and implement a data driven recruitment strategy for new and returning adult, first-year, transfer and graduate students.
  • Travel for recruitment purposes to assigned recruitment locations including, but not limited to, 2-year colleges, recruitment fairs, business and community venues (i.e. Amazon, City of Racine, community centers, etc.).
  • Create and implement a creative communication strategy for the prospective students and applicants designed to provide the appropriate information at the appropriate time in the process. Tailor messages for prospect, applicant, admit or other stages in the admissions funnel for the adult learner population.
  • Create and conduct follow up via phone, email, live chat, web, and other methods of communication with prospects and applicants.
  • Work autonomously and independently while also participating and working collaboratively with the rest of the admissions team to meet enrollment goals.
  • Engage the university community in developing cross-functional partnerships to enhance the prospective student experience.
  • Maintain regular contact with institutional and business/community partners to build viable prospective and applicant pools of students.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the onboarding process of new adult students, working closely with academic partners and student support teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on recruitment activities and applicant behaviors.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in describing the university's academic offerings, merit scholarship and financial aid awarding policies, transfer credit evaluation policies, and institutional policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree


  • Willingness and flexibility working some weekends and evenings


  • Two years of professional work experience



Preferred:



  • Master's degree


  • Sales and/or higher education recruiting experience


  • Experience with Slate, Peoplesoft, Image Now and Navigate


  • Spanish language proficiency



Physical Demands of the Job:



  • Ability to stand, walk, or move for extended periods during workshops, events, and program activities.


  • Capability to lift and carry materials, supplies, or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.


  • Dexterity to set up and operate presentation equipment, such as projectors, laptops, and sound systems.


  • Ability to review written materials, presentations, and participant records.


  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while completing office tasks, such as recordkeeping and correspondence.


  • Mobility to travel to various event locations, partner sites, or meeting venues as needed.


  • Flexibility to adjust work hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on program requirements.


  • Adaptability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor offices, classrooms, and outdoor event spaces.
