Job Summary Join Getaway today as the Instructional Services Manager of Clock Hour Trades!! This position manages the Trades instructional department, overseeing staff and curriculum development for programs in HVAC, Collision Repair, Machining, Welding, and Electric Vehicle (EV) technology to meet industry and community training needs. Plans, implements, and evaluates instructional programs to promote student recruitment, retention, and skill development. Ensures curricula remain aligned with current industry standards and practices. Administers department operations, including budgeting, supply management, and coordination of interdepartmental communications. Essential Functions 50% - Staff and Instructional Management: Manages instructional staff, ensuring adherence to policies and industry standards. Oversees hiring, staff development, and annual evaluations. Ensures instructors remain current in their fields, employ effective teaching practices, and maintain up-to-date curricula. Supervises daily activities, reviews program objectives, and evaluates outcomes to promote student success and instructional quality. Coordinates course offerings, faculty assignments, and instructional support services. 20% - Curriculum and Program Oversight: Manages curriculum development and improvement processes in collaboration with Program Managers, Community Liaisons, and Advisory Boards. Reviews and evaluates curricula to ensure relevance and effectiveness in meeting industry and student needs. Develops and maintains instructional programs that align with community and industry training requirements, supporting student recruitment and retention goals. 20% - Strategic Planning and Community Engagement: Develops and maintains partnerships with community stakeholders, external agencies, and advisory boards. Implements outreach, marketing, and recruitment plans. Conducts presentations, workshops, and training sessions to promote programs and services. 10% - Administrative and Operational Support: Oversees administrative support staff and departmental operations, including records management, inventory tracking, payroll, and handling information requests. Ensures supplies and resources are available as needed. Manages departmental budgets and expenditures, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, and identifies alternative funding sources. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field, five (5) years of related experience such as planning, developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating instructional services programs which includes two (2) years of supervisory experience. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Certificate of Completion or Degree in trades or technical-related field if preferred B. Experience with curriculum development in a Career and Technical Education (CTE)/Occupational school environment C. Experience working with Industry Advisory Boards and other community stakeholders D. Demonstrated experience providing training/instruction to diverse groups of learners E. Experience with budget development and project/program management in Semiconductor, Aerospace, Manufacturing, HVAC, Collision Repair, Machining, Welding, and Electric Vehicle (EV) technology or related fields Special Working Conditions
