Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Resource Analyst to support a government aviation program front office. The Resource Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and managing the allocation of resources for aviation operations, including personnel, equipment, funding, and materials. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a background in resource management, and the ability to track, report, and optimize resource usage to ensure the successful execution of aviation missions and program objectives.

Examples of duties include but not limited to:

    Develop and manage resource allocation plans for aviation programs, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure optimal utilization of resources in alignment with mission requirements and program goals.
  • Support the budgeting process by providing detailed analysis of financial resource requirements. Track and manage expenditures against approved budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of program funds. Prepare and maintain cost estimates, funding requests, and financial reports.
  • Monitor resource utilization across the aviation program and provide regular reports to senior management on resource status, potential shortfalls, and resource optimization opportunities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to resource usage, including trends, historical data, and future projections. Provide forecasts and recommendations to ensure that resources are available to meet program needs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline resource allocation processes and improve efficiency. Recommend adjustments to resource allocation strategies based on performance metrics, program changes, or shifts in operational requirements.
  • Assess risks related to resource shortages or misallocations and work with program managers to develop mitigation plans. Ensure resource availability during critical periods, including contingency planning for unforeseen challenges.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including operations, procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure resources are allocated and managed effectively. Liaise with external stakeholders as needed to support resource requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of resource allocation, financial expenditures, and program performance. Ensure compliance with government regulations, contractual obligations, and organizational policies related to resource management.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Aviation Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in resource analysis, program management, or financial management, preferably within a government or military aviation program.
  • Experience working with federal government contracts or aviation-related programs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in resource management software, project management tools, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Access, or similar systems).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong financial analysis skills, including familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with government budgeting and contracting processes is beneficial.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is desirable but not required.
  • Financial analysis certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus

Experience and Education:

  • Prior customer experience
  • TS/SCI with POLY
  • X years as a Resource Analyst
  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7 or 12 years' experience in lieu of degree

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
