Overview

This self-motivated individual will provide support for, but not limited to the following areas:

The Sales Support Specialist Role is responsible for supporting our sales teams and providing superior customer support. The #1 goal of this role is to become an expert in our sales process and systems to support the sales team; increase selling time with efficiency and to allow us to better and more quickly service customers.

The Sales Support Specialist will liaise between other departments, the sales leader(s) and our customer to provide the service most suitable to the customer's needs. This role requires an individual that is proactive and can identify issues early in the process and develop a solution to solve it. This role includes a focus on maintaining key company information such as contact information, being the point of contact for our key customer partners and overseeing customer integrity within our systems. This person will report to the Director of Sales, Strategic Retail.



Responsibilities

  • General administrative support - taking care of and supporting customer needs to reduce down-time for the sales organization.
  • Key Account Support including areas such as managing customer portals, responding to customer requests, i.e., marketing and literature, new product set-up, sku rationalization, website support, special orders etc.
  • Support sales team with intermediate data analysis requests by applying basic financial acumen and Excel skills (including vlookups and pivot tables)
  • Review and coordinate customer agreements, making sure final agreements are reflected in our system
  • Build relationships with sales reps that call on our customers and help to facilitate all parts of customer shows and events, including providing promotional materials and customer trade shows
  • Track orders through our system upon request to update status on delivery, back orders etc.
  • Point of contact for all administrative support (pricing uploads, customer show registrations etc.)
  • Prepare and coordinate pricing requests for new item set-ups, upon request of sales leaders
  • Support the sales team in preparation for customer meetings - presentations, reports, etc.
  • Expertise in driving sales conversions via phone and virtual communication platforms.
  • Strong collaboration alongside Channel and Marketing to drive sales via new products, innovation, promotions, customer trade shows, online growth etc.
  • Help manage and lead our Unilateral Pricing Policy (UAP) with key customers.
  • Establish strong relationships with key decision makers, both internally and externally.
  • Expertise on the internal sales process including a deep understanding of the flow of our cycle and the critical milestones, management of a healthy and productive opportunity pipeline, and leveraging CRM (Salesforce) to capture and convert leads.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop platforms focused on merchandising, conversion programs, and promotions focused on profitable customer growth.
  • Establish yourself as a power-user in Salesforce and PowerBi for managing, communicating, and supporting all aspects of closing incremental sales opportunities.


Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years or more of Sales or marketing experience
  • Excellent presentation skills (phone and virtual) are essential in this role.

Travel Requirement

  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time to product and marketing meetings at our corporate locations and attending customer dealer shows and/or meetings.
