Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in delivering cutting-edge application development and support for a robust ecosystem of big data applications. In this role, you will work in a collaborative environment, engaging directly with customers, project managers, and other development teams to craft innovative software solutions that address complex challenges.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain a variety of software systems, ranging from real-time analytics platforms to large-scale data processing and business management tools. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise, leverage modern development methodologies, and shape the future of enterprise-level software.

Key Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with customers, project managers, and other teams to gather and define requirements, ensuring the delivery of tailored software solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, algorithm development, and large-scale data manipulation.
  • Provide detailed input into system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse strategies, and requirements analysis.
  • Utilize advanced software engineering methodologies and design practices to deliver high-quality solutions in an enterprise production environment.
  • Design, create, test, and maintain software applications and web-based platforms to meet customer needs.
  • Follow formal design processes, including the use of formal specifications and adherence to applicable laws, standards, and development guidelines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 9+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI with poly
  • 5+ years of Full Stack Development experience.
  • Proficiency with NoSQL/SQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and secure transport methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Expertise in Microservices Architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong programming skills in Java, including frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of Big Data tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi, and Kafka.
  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven experience building and deploying Docker-based applications.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLM) and AI/ML concepts.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
