The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section.

Performs wide variety of functions related to Accounts Payable. Responsibilities include payment processing in SAP environment and resolution of payment issues with the Vendors, and Invoice entry. Assist Senior Manager Accounts Payable for proper SOX compliance. Assist with month-end close activities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Process Daily Payment runs including ACH, Checks, and Wires

  • Complete Garnishment Payments on Thursday unless otherwise notified due to holiday on Thursday

  • Ensure all payments are made in timely manner to meet daily deadlines

  • Complete Stop/Void check payments and then re-issue payment

  • Help clearing/voiding old issued checks

  • Help maintaining Hog Deferral File as needed

  • Communicate with Vendors by phone and e-mail to resolve payment related issues

  • Process vendor PO and Non-PO invoices as needed

  • Assist in implementing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls for invoices received for payment.

  • Assist in Internal and External audit requirements

  • Help with A/P Corporate mailbox and phone lines as needed

  • Communicate with vendor request team for ACH return notices and notifications of change if any.

  • Assist with special projects as needed

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 4+ years of relevant experience; required.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.

  • SAP, experience is a plus

  • Exceptional computer skills required (Microsoft Excel & Word)

  • Solid work ethic with a high level of energy ( "roll-up-sleeves" approach)

  • Excellent communication skills
