The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Student Worker to serve as a Social Media Coordinator for our campus location at The Chandler Center. This position will provide valuable office support by managing The Chandler Center's Instagram account, capturing photos at events, and creating video content for social media. Additional responsibilities include supporting office tasks such as welcoming guests, answering phone calls, and responding to emails. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management and marketing while supporting the mission of The Chandler Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Create and maintain a social media content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all social media posts and updates

* Capture and organize photos from The Chandler Center programs and manage the photo storage system

* Promote programming and events while keeping the university community informed about service and civic engagement opportunities

* Provide general office support, including answering phones, assisting visitors, and other administrative tasks

* Attend bi-weekly staff meetings held on Monday evenings

* Represent The Chandler Center with professionalism and a clear understanding of its mission and work

* Drive The Chandler Center mini-vans as needed for events and programs

Minimum Qualifications:

* Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU

* Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Communications, Marketing and/or Social Media

* Experience with Instagram, Microsoft Teams, Canva, Excel

* Experience in Community Service and Engagement

* Strong interest in developing leadership skills

Work Hours:

Flexible including weekdays, early evenings and weekends (approximately 12-15 hours per week)

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
