We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you serve as a trusted partner, progressive thinker, and strategist to business leaders for all human capital matters. Aligning North American human capital programs with business strategy and relevant employment laws will be your key focus. You will also partner with leaders providing day-to-day employee relations and performance management guidance to fully optimize human capital performance and outcomes.

A Day in the Life

  • Consulting with leaders (Director level and below) ensuring performance management aligns with pay-for-performance recommendations and reward and recognition programs.
  • Acting as an advocate and advisor to employees and leaders regarding career and leadership development.
  • Developing, planning, and conducting investigation related to complex and sensitive human capital matters and using facts to make recommendations, and oversee the implementation of decisions that lead to fair and consistent resolution of issues and complaints.
  • Managing performance management, terminations, restructuring, accommodation requests, workplace drug/alcohol/violence matters, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Developing and implement comprehensive staffing plans for the organization and partner with Talent Acquisition team on strategies to attract top talent.
  • Supporting Senior Human Resources Business Partners on organizational design and implementation strategies for defined client group(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years relevant experience in Human Capital Management /Human Resources, including experience in talent assessment and development, change management, recruitment, job and compensation programs, employee relations, and managing complex/sensitive workplace investigations
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of US state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with Canada employees highly desired
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to educate, inspire and indirectly lead individuals and people leaders
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Workday (core and talent management) systems experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel within US and CAN quarterly (up to 10%)

The hiring base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
