The Senior Auditor will engage in all stages of the audit process, contribute to the ongoing enhancement of internal audit procedures, adhere to professional standards, incorporate best practices in all audit activities, and collaborate with internal and external specialists in accounting, auditing, and systems.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Assesses compliance with governmental regulatory requirements, financial accounting standards, and company policies to ensure company assets are safeguarded. Maintains the AML Risk Assessment and identifies emerging risks to remain current with federal and state considerations. Executes detailed audit procedures by reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures. Advises internal audit supervisor of problems encountered in a timely manner. Ensures that documentation obtained contains sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter to support the conclusions reached. Collaborates with the Corporate Compliance department to ensure compliance with federal AML requirements. Identifies and evaluates the risk factors in the audit area assigned and provides input to the development of the audit scope and testing procedures. Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of prior auditing, accounting or relevant experience. Experience in using data analytics/analysis to perform more effective and efficient audits. Familiarity with anti-money laundering regulations, financial reporting requirements, and relevant industry events.
