The opportunity

Job Summary:

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking two Student Workers for our campus location to assist SETA's electrical and robotics engineering labs. They will primarily work with the Engineering Lab Facilitator organizing and maintaining the electrical and robotics labs. Sporadically, they could be assigned to assist with design, fabrication and assembly tasks for both course- and research-related engineering projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain electrical and robotics labs.
  • Assist in developing engineering projects.
  • PCB designing, soldering and testing tasks.
  • 3D designing.
  • Other engineering duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate Day program at SNHU.
  • Work Study as part of their financial aid package.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated learner.
  • Basic electrical and/or robotic skills.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Obtain lab management skills.
  • Improve hands-on electrical and robotics skills.
  • Understand engineering project development, from design to implementation.
  • Gain the soft skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across engineering departments.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
