Qualifications Experience working in food service; food preparation, kitchen equipment and proper sanitation practices. Ability to communicate well and work well independently and/or in a team setting. Possess a positive attitude, works well with others, be trustworthy, especially in confidential matters and be well organized and efficient. Ability to lift heavy items, frequently reaches, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch. Must be willing to support the Mission of The Salvation Army; be able to pass The Salvation Army pre-employment background checks. It must be understood by the incumbent that the position is subject to the requirements of Safe From Harm upon commencement of employment and that the required Safe From Harm training program must be satisfactorily completed, within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Position Summary The Kitchen Aide may prepare and cook meals for clients and maintain a clean kitchen and dining room. In this position the candidate will also clean and sanitize all food service equipment, dishes, pots and pans. While performing the duties of this position, the candidate is required to stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and hear and talk. This is a regular full-time position with workweek expectation of 35 hours per week. 35 hrs/week, $11.15-$17.08/hour Monday - Friday (7:30am-3:00pm) Location: 304 Roberts St., Fargo, ND 58102 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
