Job Title: Innovation Leadership Program (iLead) - Chandler AZ - Business BankingLocation: AZ - Chandler 3075What you'll do: Start date Between June 23, 2025 to July 7, 2025This eighteen-month rotational program gives participants the opportunity to further build their business skills and develop an innovation mindset at a fast-growing company. Program participants will become the trailblazers in their functions, working on projects that will shape the future of Western Alliance Bank. Participants will gain high-impact experience, accelerate their careers as innovation leaders, build their professional network and interact closely with senior executives. The Business Banking team is responsible for identifying a target market for new business and deepening relationships with existing customers. The team works to negotiate, underwrite, and close a variety of complex business deals with commercial real estate companies, companies with construction loans and other companies in support of the Small Business Administration (SBA). The team engages in business development activities and gathers/reviews pertinent financial information to make thoughtful recommendations of personal and business deposit products, and treasury management solutions to clients to better support their business. In addition, the team works internally with Senior Credit Officers and the Loan Committee on loan or credit applications. The Business Banking track will provide the participant an understanding of the bank's credit policy, lending products and underwriting guidelines to support new business development and maintaining asset quality. The participant will also learn about the suite of treasury management products offered by Western Alliance Bank to provide valuable insights to clients and prospects of how they can more efficiently manage liquidity, protect funds, and manage their receivable and payable functions. This will be positioning the bank as a trusted advisor to clients and will further drive cross-sell and fee income opportunities. Additionally, the experience gained through this track will further develop the participant's skill in prospecting to identify and bring in new (profitable) business to the company. The Rotations for Business Banking are: Rotation 1: Commercial Underwriting is responsible for the oversight of all activities related to the credit process. This track experience will develop an understanding of the bank's business banking lending products, underwriting guidelines, credit policy, deal structuring, and learn to identify weaknesses & mitigate risk factors, and apply appropriate covenant controls. The track will include exposure to underwriting loan renewals and new credits. Rotation 2: Commercial Banking is responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and expanding client relationships all while ensuring excellent client service and delivery to the client base. While in this track, the focus will be on identifying clients within our addressable market, product efficiency, relationship deepening and other business-related projects. This rotation will focus on enhancing the group's reporting, including prospecting efforts and reports identifying cross-sell opportunities, working closely with the Senior Leadership to leverage reports to drive new and profitable business to the organization. Rotation 3: Treasury Management is responsible for delivering a complete slate of deposit and cash management solutions to optimize cashflow and manage risk. From online banking to fraud protection, APIs and web integration to commercial credit cards, the Treasury Management team works with the Commercial Bankers and clients to help protect the business and meet their financial goals. The track experience will include reviews of existing Business Banking portfolio to identify cross-selling opportunities, prepare proforma Treasury Management Analysis statements, and gain an understanding of Treasury Management solutions to assist the Treasury Management Officers in advising clients to be more efficient in protecting their funds.
