THE JOB:

Step into the kitchen of Jean Georges Steakhouse, where culinary excellence meets precision. As a Cook, you will apply your culinary expertise across multiple stations, from grill and broiler to saute and garde manger. Your role will be integral to crafting exceptional dining experiences that showcase the best in steakhouse cuisine.

THE STARTING RATE:$25.7806

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Prepare dishes with expert culinary techniques, showcasing an attention to detail and consistency

• Work across various kitchen stations, including hot line, saute, grill/broiler, and Garde manger

• Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of ingredients to maintain food safety and sanitation standards

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to execute high-volume service

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in alignment with health and safety guidelines

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 1+ years line cook experience in fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment

• Background in fine dining or upscale kitchen environment

• Familiarity with American cuisine

• Is comfortable in a restaurant kitchen and with the use of culinary tools, equipment, and techniques

• Takes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards

• Describes themselves as detail-oriented, good communicator

• Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences

• Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression

• Can handle multiple tasks at one time

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
