THE JOB:

Assistant General Manager is to assist the General Manager in providing direction and

leadership for the Assistant Manager and the Restaurant Service team consistent with the MGM brand.

They share responsibility for: leading the team to achieve the operational and financial goals of the

venue; monitoring the performance, scheduling and training of the staff; executing initiatives as

implemented by property F&B leadership; maintaining the facilities in accordance with MGM Resorts

service standards; and ensuring high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience. All

duties are performed in accordance to company policies and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE:
The compensation for this position will be $78.7k annual

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Daily Operations: Oversee everything that happens day-to-day in the restaurant, including budgeting, managing staff schedules, keeping track of inventory, and ensuring guests receive excellent service. Also, handle marketing strategies to boost short-term profits.
• Business Planning: Help the General Manager implement the restaurant's business plan and develop strategies to meet goals and targets.
• Human Resources: Assist with hiring, training, and managing staff. Create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, feedback, and recognition. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and employment laws.
• Guest Interaction: Regularly engage with guests to ensure they have a great dining experience. Address complaints and manage feedback channels to improve service.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to provide seamless service between the dining area and kitchen.
• Policies & Standards: Make sure all staff follow the restaurant's policies, procedures, and training programs. Implement company-wide initiatives and maintain high standards of health and cleanliness.
• Product Knowledge: Be well-informed about the restaurant's menu, food, and equipment.
• Additional Duties: Carry out any other tasks as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience of prior relevant experience
• Experience managing FOH employees under a collective bargaining agreement
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience working in a high volume restaurant or previous experience working in fine dining, quick service restaurant
• Experience working with multiple Food and Beverage concepts
