Branch Hours

Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Friday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Function: Profiles customers to determine financial goals and service needs, refers customers to other lines of business when appropriate. Responsible for achieving enhanced individual goals including loan, deposit other Bank products referral generation through higher goal and incentive expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes exceptional sales knowledge and skills related to all financial services and branch operations.

  • Proves competencies in bank operations by:

  • Completion of the Sales platform training as assigned by Consumer Banking Training

    • Demonstration of high-level product knowledge, sales aptitude and service expectations in a successful manner.

    • Execution of the sales behaviors and expectations outline in the Branch Playbook.

  • Profiles customers to determine and recommend appropriate S&T loan, deposit, and other LOB services.

  • Utilizes all sales tools as provided to enhance the customer experience and sales conversation. Example tools but not limited are: LoanFit, sales binder, etc.

  • Completes the S&T Sales process and customer focused conversation with each customer, document notes in the appropriate system for all bankers view in future interactions.

  • Inputs loan applications using appropriate LOS software coordinates loan document preparation.

  • Opens new deposit accounts and produces signature cards, certificates of deposit and other deposit documents.

  • Uses a combination of S&T Sales skills, advanced product knowledge, and knowledge of policies and procedures to suggest additional bank services such as other loan accounts, deposit, and digital services. Makes referrals to the other lines of business partners as needed

  • Manages assigned book of business (consumer portfolio) as assigned.

  • Proactively reaches out to portfolio customers, routinely to discuss financial goals, needs and solutions to help them achieve goals.

  • Utilizes the Sales & Service guide to complete outbound campaign calls on new and existing customers to generate new business as outlined in the Branch Playbook.

  • Completes enhanced call campaigns to call on new and existing customers to generate new business with support and reference of calling scripts outlined in the Sales and Service Guide.

  • Assists, as needed, branch management in coaching staff regarding sales processes.

  • Contributes to Branch goals and sales and service standards as outlined in branch playbook and detailed by Branch Management

    • Executes professional sales and service behaviors in alignment with Bank's Our Shared Future purpose, five values and core drivers.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees in other departments. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the branch and in turn, the organization.

  • Completes NLMS requirements as part of the S.A.F.E. Act certification. Proof of registration with the registry and verification of a unique identifier as established under the guidelines of the S.A.F.E. Act is required upon hire and/or must be obtained prior to performing the duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator, as defined by the Act. This registration must be maintained annually in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and as necessary to support the successful operation of the branch.

Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.

Experience

Requires two to five years of general experience and two to five years of specialized personal banker experience. Successful completion of the retail training program required.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 80% of the day; operates electronic equipment: 10% of the day; operates office equipment: 10% of the day. Standing is required one hour per day, sitting is required six hours per day and walking is required one hour per day. Routinely lifts 5 lbs., one time per day, maximum lift is 20 lbs., one time per day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"- 20" for computer work 40% of the business day.
