Position Summary: The Program Assistant will assist the Corps Officer or Community Center Director in implementing, conducting and supervising the Community Center programs for children and adults which will benefit their emotional, physical and spiritual health. Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist community center programming in implementing, conducting and supervising programs which would include seasonal programming such as day camp, afterschool programs, basketball, football, soccer leagues and other special events
- Assist in building relationships with parents and children that participate in these programs
- Enforces facility safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Oversee building rentals as assigned
- Maintain order in the Community Center by enforcing rules relating to conduct and the use of equipment and facilities
- May be responsible for opening and closing the community center
- Help to safeguard all equipment and supplies including sports equipment, tables, chairs, vending machines, etc.
- Responsible for regular cleaning and maintaining the facility when used for programming
- Serves breakfast, lunch, and snacks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Education/Experience:
- Minimum of High School diploma/GED desired, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Training and/or education experience in leading sports programs, youth programming, and/or youth ministry preferred
- Must be at least 16 years old

Certificates and Licenses:
- Ability to obtain and maintain training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and Blood Pathogen
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
