Camp Program Aide

This is a Temporary Position that will run from May 28, 2025 to July 25, 2025.

The working days for this position will be Monday-Friday and some weekends.

Pay is $70 per day.

SUMMARY: This position involves assisting in planning and organizing camp staff orientation as well as camp programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other similar and related duties may be assigned.



  • Prepare information for camp staff orientation as assigned.
  • Prepare information for camp programming as assigned.
  • Assist in the moving of the Youth Dept. offices to camp.
  • Participate in camp staff orientation as assigned.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and devotions.
  • Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the position.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • They will assist in creating a Christian atmosphere and support the infusion of Christian Outreach through the programming.
  • Preferred 6 months related experience in a personal relationship with Christ and working with youth.
  • This individual must be of good character, mature and able to uphold the Christian standards and ministries of The Salvation Army in all areas of job responsibilities.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Will provide on-the- job-training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: English proficiency sufficient for communication with supervisors, co-workers, clients and customers. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS: None required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must pass all applicable background checks.
