Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Group Product Management leads a team of Product Managers to develop multi-year product management roadmaps for various supply chain domains and drives collaboration with enterprise partners. Working with senior executives in a cross-functional context, they use data to drive decision-making. What You Will Do



  • Hire, coach, and mentor individuals to build a robust cross-functional organization.
  • Provide coaching to other product managers on writing user stories within an Agile project framework.
  • Introduce innovative ideas aimed at enhancing the customer and colleague experience.
  • Lead the development of features and functionality for key strategic program initiatives, involving identification of business opportunities, defining requirements, implementing projects, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Independently lead and motivate multiple cross-functional teams across the entire product development life cycle, from deployment to post-deployment.
  • Participate in Agile Project Inception, iteration meetings, story/acceptance criteria writing, story signoff, launch readiness, and post-launch triage/burn-in processes.
  • Resolve specific challenges related to feature/tool functionality for Macy's customers or business users, making trade-offs of scope, time, and budget during development.
  • Take accountability for the financial impact and customer experience of produced products, leveraging analysis to measure feature deployment results, quantify business benefit/impact, and identify further opportunities or recommendations for product evolution.
  • Identify new opportunities and develop business cases/ROI for projects in particularly ambiguous, complex, and emerging domains.
  • Drive requirements, approach, and vision for vendor-facing features, as well as define detailed requirements, business process changes, internal communications, and implementation plans.
  • Solicit input from various internal stakeholders and external resources, staying updated with industry trends.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners to ensure timely and in-scope delivery of their work.



Skills You Will Need

Leadership: Ability to effectively lead a team of Product Managers in developing multi-year product management roadmaps for diverse supply chain domains, fostering collaboration with enterprise partners, and driving impactful decision-making.

Strategic Thinking: Capacity to work with senior executives in a cross-functional context, utilizing data to inform strategic decisions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Innovation: Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative ideas aimed at enhancing customer and colleague experiences, driving product development initiatives forward.

Project Management: Proficiency in leading the development of features and functionality for key strategic program initiatives, from identifying business opportunities to evaluating outcomes.

Agile Methodology: Experience in Agile project management, including participation in project inception, iteration meetings, and post-launch processes.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges related to feature/tool functionality, making appropriate trade-offs to ensure successful development.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to solicit input from various internal stakeholders and external resources, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Software Integrations: Experience with 3rd party software integrations, enabling seamless integration of tools and systems to enhance product functionality.

Effective Communication: Ability to effectively communicate information, issues, and solutions to senior business stakeholders in an easily understood format.

Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills across various audiences, advocating for both business-facing and IT technology solutions among peers and executive leadership.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, including the ability to perform complex data analysis, draw actionable insights, and build strategies against the analysis.

Time Management: Capability to thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively leading multiple projects, prioritizing time, and communicating timelines to team members.

  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 6+ years of progressive experience in Product Management and at least 1 year of people leadership experience.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
