THE SALVATION ARMY NORTH AND CENTRAL ILLINOIS DIVISION Evangeline Booth Lodge POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Cook LOCATION/DEPT: Food Services REPORTS TO: Kitchen Supervisor FLSA CATEGORY: Non-Exempt STATUS TYPE: RFT Pay Grade: 202 Pay Rate: $17 - $20.40 DEPARTMENT MISSION To support the full mission of The Salvation Army by providing compassionate, professional service to the families and single women residing at the Lodge and the community in a team-focused manner with the entire Lodge staff, providing nutritious meals. OUTCOMES The Cook is primarily responsible the preparation of meals for the nutrition program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RELATIONSHIPS This individual relates to and interacts with a wide range of contacts both within and outside The Salvation Army. In these contacts, they act as a representative of the Army and its mission. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager with some freedom to plan, schedule and carry out responsibilities within established policies and guidelines. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS This individual will be evaluated on how effective the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals. POSITION LIMITATIONS This individual will only commit Army resources that have been allocated or approved. This individual will keep the Kitchen Supervisor informed on all critical issue relating to his/her area of responsibility.
