What's the role?

The Measuring Back Office Specialist plays a crucial role in interacting with and supporting both external
customers and internal stakeholders, such as digital construction specialists, customer service, and product
management teams. They provide training and support for total stations and concrete scanners, manage the execution of Hilti's CAD services, and oversee the deployment of robotics solutions on job sites. This includes supporting business developers in the field, coordinating with subcontractors, and traveling to deployment sites when necessary. Additionally, they serve as the remote support expert for robotics across Hilti North America.

What does the role involve?
  • Provide inside sales support for internal and external customers
  • Provide timely and accurate defect analysis of all telephone related customer repair inquiries and provide appropriate solutions to meet customer needs
  • Inform Business Units and Tool Services of related issues experienced by internal and external customers; when appropriate and after careful analysis, suggest solutions to the issues
  • Project manage CAD service execution with customers and Value Engineering HUB resources
  • Support deployment of robotics solutions via coordination with strategic business developers and sub-contractors, help prepare data for robotics implementation and support both remotely and if needed on site with troubleshooting during the deployment of the robots
  • Develop written and video training support for internal and external customers
  • Create phone and computer training script to support high-end measuring business
  • Support Measuring Business Unit with designing high-end detection and optical tool training for internal and external customers
  • Facilitate and deliver training to all specialist team members including product, Key PLS applications, trade, and AM processes
  • Additional duties as assigned

What you need is:
  • Bachelor's Degree required or applicable job-related experience
  • Background in surveying (by education or experience)
  • Well versed in Auto CAD and Revit
  • Strong training and presentation skills required
  • Knowledge of SAP, PowerPoint, Windows, and Excel required
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills required
  • Working knowledge of construction methods and building codes preferred
  • High energy, sense of urgency, and customer care skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the enthusiasm to deliver training to drive new team member engagement
Working Conditions:
Primarily office conditions with some exposure to jobsites.

Adverse Working Conditions:
  • Job requires walking on construction sites and uneven surfaces, as well as climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs during all seasons of the year
  • Depending on geography employees may be exposed to adverse heat or cold
  • Construction jobsites may also expose specialists to excessively loud noises; ear protection is strongly encouraged and may be required on some jobsites
Safety Equipment Required:
  • Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working jobsites; must observe and abide by any and all safety regulations as required by Hilti, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and General Contractors
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk on construction projects, climb scaffolding, and lift and carry up to 65 pounds of Hilti product
