Position Title: Production Associate - Masking Technician Wage: $19.00/Hour Shift: 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Monday - Friday QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Associate for a company in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this role you will learn skills to ensure flawless aerospace part protection through precise masking application. If you are a detail oriented with a passion for quality apply today! Production Associate - Masking Technician Responsibilities: - Follow safety, environmental, and housekeeping rules to maintain a safe working environment - Use established knowledge, skills, and abilities to apply various masking materials on aerospace parts and assemblies - Produce product matching (first article masking samples) - Complete shop documentation (digital and paper) including but not limited to work orders, process techniques, inspection reports, first articles and frozen planning - Collaborate with immediate peers, de-masking, inspection, and chemical processing application personnel - Engage in ongoing training opportunities, continuous process improvement initiatives and periodic performance assessments Requirements For Production Associate - Masking Technician: - Fundamental engineering drawing interpretation after training - Able to use of precision measuring equipment - micrometer and caliper gages - Basic knowledge of. pretreatments including but not limited to anodize, chem film, passivation, phosphate, cadmium, and abrasive blasting processes - Detail oriented - Working knowledge of masking material usage, benefits, and limitations - Comfortable within a highly regulated AS9100 / Nadcap / Lean 5S environment - Manual dexterity - High School Diploma or GED - Experience in a production environment preferred - Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications - Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) - Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
