Department OverviewThe (Elgin Experience Center for Solutions Integration ) is host to hundreds of Customer each year. The EEC SI is where customer needs and technological solutions come together thru the System Staging Process. The EEC Si Engineering Team works with Field Team to develop the final design details of a Emergency Call Handling Solution to support the fundamental objective of Total Customer Satisfaction Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Be an active member of a team of engineers, system technicians and field personal to understand, design and test complex communication and information systems to meet customer requirements and schedule deadlines
  • Become familiar with the CCSi workflow process and procedures to program and integrate equipment for a fully functional system
  • As a system staging engineer be an active participant.
  • Driving force behind the implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, testing and auditing of systems throughout the staging process
  • Serve as a focal point and catalyst for the resolution of product and system problems in complex communications and information systems
  • Develop new methods to improve performance, ease of installation, diagnostics, quality and cycle time of complex systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT Systems Engineer Experience
  • Aggressive Problem-Solving skills and the ability to get things done in a multi organization environment
  • Effective communication, public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of communication systems, wireless data systems
  • LAN/WAN, Windows and TCP/IP networking skills are required
  • VM and OVF high-level working and design knowledge.
  • Motorola Communication Knowledge preferred
  • LTE/P25, Tetra knowledge is helpful
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Provide Hands on Support for System Testing and Troubleshooting
  • Serve as a catalyst for resolution of product and system problems and communicate issues
  • Basic Unix/Shell Scripting skills is a plus
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or Technology
  • 3 years of Work Experience as an Engineer or System Engineer is required
