Position Title: Production Worker
Wage: $17/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 4pm-2:30am Monday-Thursday, alternating Fridays 5am-1:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Welder for a company in Beloit, IL. This is a contract to hire role. Production Worker Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Unload fabricated products from paint carts - Install the proper hardware based on build cards (handles, locks, wheels, etc.) - Place proper stickers properly (squarely and neatly) - Box, wrap, and band products to the proper skid - Build custom features as required - Move product to the shipping area - Prepare product for painting by grinding and scraping the unit of any defects - Use forklifts to move parts as needed - Wipe down product with a cleaning solution to prepare for paint - Move cleaned product over to the paint staging area - Use crane or forklifts to move parts as needed - Proper housekeeping of work area before, during and after shift - Examine completed work pieces for defects such as deformed edges, marred surfaces, and report defective pieces to Team Leader - Move completed welded parts from the welding area to the cleaning area - Perform other duties as assigned Production Worker Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 25lbs regularly - Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods of time - Frequently lift or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assist - Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease - Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold, or humid - Background in manufacturing/metal fabrication - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
