What's involved in this role:

We are looking for a Whey Lead in Lake Norden, SD.

• The Whey Lead provides leadership and direction for whey team members in department operations and sanitation to meet internal and external customer needs and maintain high quality product standards

• Be able to run all equipment within the department.

• Help cover major department projects, sock changes and dryer CIP's.

• Starting at $31.53/hour

• 2-2-3 schedule, rotating monthly between days and nights: 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am

• $1.50 nighttime differential pay

• Double time on Sunday

• Holiday pay

What you need to join our team:

• Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience required, preferably in a food/dairy environment.

• Experience with troubleshooting equipment preferred.

• Forklift Certification required.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

• Our Lake Norden, SD, plant is home to approximately 450 employees and boasts a brand new, state of the art cheese and whey facility. We produce mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano, asiago, and Monterey Jack cheeses as well as various whey streams.
