DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an IT Generalist 2, you will be tasked with overseeing contractor performance as it applies to all application development maintenance and operation process and planning. This includes using the software defined by EBR (currently TFS) to track change requests, defect fixes, verify testing completeness, and create reports. You will be responsible for managing the release process by working closely with other technical and program area teams and within established procedures. This position gives you the opportunity to lead the delivery and facilitation of formal and informal IT training for users as well as participate in the development of the IT strategic plan through coordination with IT managers to align IT systems with the agency's mission. Additional responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and monitoring program area approvals for release components
- Coordinating with all EBR departments such as Security and Shared Services regarding all application maintenance and operations
- Planning and constructing test plans for complex systems and performing testing for these systems which may include automated test scripts
- Planning and organizing IT continuity of government tests
- Coordinating IT asset recovery and replacement
- Managing and monitoring all waivers driving the core systems to compliance
- Maintaining IT policy and procedures as they apply to the program, ensuring they are in accordance with commonwealth directives
- Coordinating all supporting IT documentation for submission to yearly GAAP audit
- Following up and leading implementation of any updates required by audit findings

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1; or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires two or more years of full-time experience with Test Cycle management using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time experience with Guidewire administration Platform.
- This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time experience with application integration testing (Guidewire on premise and web modules).
- This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time experience with managing Time Travel testing environments.
- This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time experience with developing repeatable testing Methodologies for application and interfaces.
