Job Description: Summary: Barr is seeking an environmental field technician to join its Salt Lake City office. This person may work independently or as part of a project team to collect groundwater, soil, surface water and sediment samples for field screening and laboratory analysis; direct excavation activities; and conduct surveys. Work may also include oversight of contractors and documentation of construction work. Fieldwork opportunities for this position will be year-round and will include out-of-town travel. Desktop work may include GIS tasks (map and figure creation), preparation of drilling logs, and assisting with technical reports. Project and fieldwork needs will vary seasonally and over time. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position is based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah, office. Compensation: The anticipated base hourly range for this position is $24-$29/hour. This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance.
